A standard evening desert safari package includes hotel pickup and drop-off in a luxury 4x4 Land Cruiser, thrilling dune bashing across the Al Lahbab red dunes, camel riding, sandboarding, henna painting, falcon photography, a live BBQ dinner with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, traditional Tanoura dance and belly dance performances, shisha smoking, and Arabic coffee and dates upon arrival at the desert camp.
Desert safari prices in Dubai range from AED 150 to AED 700 per person depending on the experience tier. Standard evening safaris start at AED 150, premium packages with enhanced dining at AED 250, and VIP experiences with private majlis seating and exclusive camp access at AED 350–700. Group discounts and seasonal promotions are frequently available.
Dune bashing is conducted by licensed, professionally trained drivers with years of desert driving experience. It is generally safe for children aged 3 and above and healthy elderly guests. However, it is not recommended for pregnant women, guests with severe back or neck conditions, or those with recent surgeries. A gentler dune drive can be arranged on request.
The best time for a desert safari is from October to April when temperatures are comfortable, ranging between 20°C and 30°C. During the summer months (May–September), safaris operate in the late afternoon and evening when temperatures drop. Evening safaris are enjoyable year-round as the desert cools significantly after sunset.
An evening desert safari typically lasts 6 to 7 hours. Pickup begins around 3:00–3:30 PM from your hotel, and you return by approximately 9:00–9:30 PM. VIP and overnight safari experiences may extend longer depending on the package selected.
Yes, complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off is included with every desert safari package. We collect guests from hotels, apartments, and cruise terminals across Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman in air-conditioned Toyota Land Cruisers. Pickup times and locations are confirmed via WhatsApp or email after booking.
Wear light, comfortable clothing such as cotton t-shirts, shorts, or breathable trousers. Closed-toe shoes or sandals with straps are recommended to keep sand out. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket for the cooler evening temperatures. Avoid heavy jewellery during dune bashing. Traditional Arabic dress is available at camp for photography.
Absolutely. We offer private desert safari experiences for couples, families, corporate groups, and special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. Private safaris include a dedicated 4x4 vehicle, a personal driver-guide, exclusive camp seating, and customisable dining menus. Contact our team to design a bespoke itinerary.
Yes, all food served at our desert camps is 100% halal certified. Our live BBQ dinner buffet includes a wide selection of vegetarian dishes including grilled vegetables, hummus, fattoush, tabbouleh, Arabic bread, and desserts. Vegan and gluten-free options can also be arranged with prior notice at the time of booking.
We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled safari for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a 50% charge. No-shows are non-refundable. In case of inclement weather or sandstorms, we will reschedule your safari to the next available date at no extra cost, or issue a full refund.
Sandboarding is included complimentary in most evening desert safari packages. Quad biking (ATV rides) is available as an optional add-on starting from AED 100 for a 20-minute self-drive session. Our adventure and premium packages include quad biking at no additional charge. All safety gear including helmets and goggles is provided.
Pregnant women are welcome to join the desert safari experience but are strongly advised to skip the dune bashing segment for safety reasons. They can travel to the camp in a separate vehicle with a smooth drive and enjoy all camp-based activities including the BBQ dinner, live shows, camel riding, henna painting, and stargazing.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, bank transfers, and cash payment on arrival. Our 'Pay at Camp' option lets you reserve your spot online and pay in cash (AED or USD) when you arrive at the desert camp, giving you maximum flexibility.
You do not need to arrange your own transport. Our complimentary pickup service collects you directly from your hotel, Airbnb, or any specified location in Dubai. The safari takes place in the Al Lahbab desert (also known as Big Red), approximately 45 minutes from downtown Dubai. The drive itself is scenic and part of the experience.
